Unix Systems Administration Lab
This lab will meet on Saturday on the following dates:
January 10, 24; February 7, 21; March 14
2–5 pm
Installing and maintaining a network of computers requires tools and techniques beyond what is necessary for running even a powerful personal computer. In this lab-based course, we’ll survey and sample some of the most important best practices for the administration of a heterogenous network of servers and desktops.
This will be a “hands on” laboratory, using parts of the CS departmental network as a testbed. Some of the topics will be determined by the interests and previous experience, if any, of the students enrolled in the course.
