Prospective Students
About the Program
Graduates of our Masters Program have a broad understanding of applied computer science, can easily adapt to demanding and changing work environments and become skilled technology decision makers.
Our student population is highly diverse. Our students and alumni represent more than 40 countries; vary in age, gender, prior education and management experience; and hold undergraduate and graduate degrees from nearly 300 institutions throughout the world. At least half of our students are full-time employees
What sets our program apart from other Computer Science Master’s programs is our ability to tailor course work to the needs of our students, regardless of previous computing experience or career objectives.
Our Immersion Phase offers students with limited previous exposure to computing the fundamental skills in math and introductory programming that are needed to successfully begin the masters level coursework. Those students with prior background in math and computing can waive out of the immersion classes.
To accommodate working professionals, the program may be taken on a full-time or part-time basis and all of our classes are held in the evening at our Hyde Park campus. Students must take a minimum of 9 courses (not including the Immersion Phase) for graduation. Full-time students can complete the program in as little as 9 months and part-time students can complete the program in as little as 15 months.
