The Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago enjoys an outstanding reputation for research and teaching in Computer Science. Our faculty have made significant research contributions to Theoretical Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Numerical Computation, Distributed Computing, Scientific Computing, Computational Linguistics, Programming Languages, to cite just a few areas. Interdisciplinary Computer Science research is also done at the Computation Institute, and other research groups on campus.
The CSPP has also a superb group of adjunct and clinical faculty, with extensive industrial experience that can bring contemporary real-life solutions to the classroom.
