Meet Gonzalo Oyanedel, MBA/MPCS Class of 2022! Gonzalo is the Head of Artificial Intelligence for Walmart Chile. He credits the University of Chicago’s Masters Program in Computer Science (MPCS) for playing a important role in his career growth. He shares, “The MPCS gave me a seat at the tech strategy table.” He particularly enjoyed courses like Applied Data Analysis and Scientific Computing, noting, “Both courses had a great hands on approach with many applied and real-world examples. Also, both courses serve as a “capstone” for the MPCS, with the opportunity to combine content from the whole program.”
Before joining the MPCS, Gonzalo received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Biotechnology Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. He also worked at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager.
