Meet Greg Mader, MPCS Class of 2002! In 2012, Greg founded his own IT consulting firm, Open Source Integrators, which has steadily grown into a successful business. He credits the University of Chicago’s Masters Program in Computer Science (MPCS) as a pivotal influence in his career. Reflecting on his time in the program, Greg recalls his favorite course: Algorithms with Gerry Brady. “She helped me gain a love for math through this class,” he shared. “I loved the elegance of a great algorithm.”
Before pursuing the MPCS, Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Minnesota, followed by a Master of Science in Geography from South Dakota State University.
