Program Requirements
The requirements for the 9-course MS in Computer Science degree include five core courses covering Algorithms, Programming, and Computer Systems, along with four elective courses.
Note: A single course may not fulfill more than one course requirement. Students cannot take more than one Core Programming class.
The 9-course program does not require an internship. Students enrolled in this program are not eligible for CPT (Curricular Practical Training). If you are currently enrolled in the MPCS and have completed an internship using CPT, you are unable to switch to the 9-course program. To qualify for CPT, you must complete at least 12 degree-required courses as part of the MPCS curriculum.
