Placement Exams

Placement exams are a very valuable part of the MPCS on-boarding process. By taking exams, we will be able to properly place each student into the coursework that best fits your background and skills.

All admitted students entering the MS in Computer Science programPre-Doctoral MS in Computer Science program or Joint MBA/MPCS program are required to take placement exams before the start of studies, OR plan to enroll in the prerequisite coursework. Placement exams are given before the start of each quarter. Each placement exam may only be taken once.

Non-MPCS students that are interest in taking MPCS classes must also take and pass the required placement exams for any approved courses.

Please note: you may only register for a placement exam upon admission to the MPCS.

Students who require exam accommodation are required to register with the Student Disability Services (SDS) office.
